Janet Mayer is a Psychic Medium who is gifted with an innate curiosity as well as an unconventional approach toward her mediumship. She brings through messages from the Spirit world in a down to earth fashion that is both comforting and professional. Her technique in the way she receives her information and presents it, is highly unusual compared to the majority of mediums. It flows through many avenues, with her most prominent senses being: Clairvoyance (Seeing), Clairaudience (Hearing) and Clairsentience (Feeling). At times, she displays: Claircognizance (Spontaneous Knowing), Clairailence ( Smelling) and Clairgustance (Tasting). Being open to all senses allows Spirit to use her as a conduit to communicate in their own individual way. Trying to understand the spirit world that exist around us, while attending a Holotropic Breathwork™, Janet began spontaneously speaking unknown languages. This lead her on a four year journey that proved to be languages from many indigenous tribes in the Brazilian Rainforest, with many languages she continues to speak to date. She contacted John Perkins who set her up with a man from the Smithsonian Institute, Dr. Bernardo Peixoto, Ph.D. He originated from the Uru-e Wau Wau tribe in Northern Brazil, near the Venezuelan border and who’s native name is Ipupiara. Being guided by Spirit, Janet found herself taking part in mediumship research experiments at the Human Energy Systems Laboratory (HESL) at the University of Arizona with Dr. Gary Schwartz, Ph.D. and Dr. Julie Beischel, Ph.D. She was included in the second wave of mediums to take part in the HESL lab along with other mediums, following right after John Edwards and Suzanne Northup just to name a few.
As a founding medium with the Forever Family Foundation, Janet has been given Certification of Mediumship Proficiency. She is a member of the Medium Advisory Board and volunteers as needed. Janet’s continuous curiosity as to whether any unusual brainwave activity takes place while speaking the indigenous languages or when engaged during mediumship readings has always remained in the forefront of her mind. She was introduced by a mutual acquaintance to Dr. Jeff Tarrant Ph.D., a licensed Psychologist, Board Certified in Neurotherapy and Diplomate in Energy Psychology. He agreed to work with Janet and they spent two and a half years exploring the possibilities. The findings show that different state of consciousness may be taking place while Janet is engaged in mediumship and while speaking the indigenous languages.
